Pay range: $104,000/year to $157,060.80/year
The Practice Manager - RN is accountable for the direct coordination and supervision of clinic operations. Manages all nursing staff, front office staff, health plan coordinator and medical assistants to ensure that adequate levels of staffing are achieved to handle the work load. Serves as a role model and resource for patient care. Provides leadership and promotes team-building among staff. Facilitates communication between staff, providers, management and all other customers. Is responsible for effective implementation of policies, procedures and standards. Supports and models Standards for Success model. Acts as liaison with the Central Ambulatory Registration and Scheduling to communicate updates to the scheduling matrix and collaboratively work on improving scheduling processes for patients. The Practice Manager - RN will be tasked to perform direct patient care and coordination approximately 20% of their time. This will give the Manager an opportunity to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the workflow needs of the clinic. In addition, this position will work closely with the leadership within the clinical enterprise to ensure standardized work processes. |
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES |
Performed majority of the time: |
· Completes daily staffing assignments. · Monitors utilization, maintenance, and charging of equipment and supplies. · Plans and participates in nursing in-services, conferences, and designated meetings. · Acts as a resource person, advising or assisting Outpatient Services personnel as necessary in planning patient care. · Participates in recruitment, interviewing, selection, and orientation of staff. · Oversees the proctoring and onboarding of new clinic staff. · Counsels employees, coordinates disciplinary action. · Creates and implements work processes to ensure a smooth workflow within the clinic · Promotes accident prevention and reports potential hazards to maintain a safe environment. |
Performed occasionally but critical to successful performance of the job: |
· Performs employee annual and probationary performance reviews. · Acts as back up to the clinic RN when needed. · Annual surveys: o Environmental surveys o Pharmaceutical surveys o Space surveys |
Decision making and budget responsibilities: |
· Decision making impacts the clinic operations. · Responsible for department budget performance and working to ensure neutral budget. |
