· Picks up and delivers specimens, reports, supplies, x-rays and mail to physician offices and other entities while maintaining a schedule and documentation. · Works with the Transportation Coordinator to be sure that route schedules are kept up to date and communicates changes. · Keeps work areas clean and well stocked. |
Performed occasionally but critical to successful performance of the job: |
· Follows up all problems or errors by collecting documentation for lab managers. · Assists in reviewing process for improvement. · Participates in training of employees to assure that all transportation staff receives appropriate training and maintain competency. · Participates on hospital committees and transportation teams as needed. · Looks for ways to improve customer service. · Provides input for revising and presenting new procedures. · Assists with supply ordering and restocking, as needed. · Supports team and patient care by being available to cover vacation and sick time for coworkers. |
