The Project Manager-Intranet supports Hillsboro Medical Center’s business needs by auditing the current intranet structure, creating a project plan, and engaging key stakeholders to construct a limited updated intranet hosted on HMC’s SharePoint. The site should be scalable to serve HMC’s needs into the future. Contributes to a positive work environment that promotes HMC values.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Assess and audit existing intranet. Representative duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Review the current Tualipedia intranet structure, content, pages, and resources to develop a comprehensive understanding of the existing environment and how employees use it. Engage staff and stakeholders to identify key information needs, usage drivers, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop new intranet strategy and structure. Representative duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Partner with the Director of Marketing, Communications and Brand to develop a minimally viable intranet (MVI) framework, including proposed site architecture, content priorities, navigation, and key sections. Present recommendations and obtain approval for the proposed structure and priorities.
Engage and coordinate with department stakeholders. Representative duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and department stakeholders for each identified intranet section to determine content migration needs, identify gaps, and define additional content and resources needed to support the expanded capabilities of the new intranet.
Build and launch the new intranet. Representative duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop approved sections of the new SharePoint intranet and coordinate with subject matter experts to migrate, organize, and update content from Tualipedia. Establish redirects from legacy intranet pages to appropriate locations within the new site to support a seamless transition.
- Train designated site managers and department content owners on maintaining and updating their respective SharePoint pages. Provide guidance and support to ensure content remains accurate, current, accessible, and aligned with established intranet standards.
Monitor, analyze, and optimize. Representative duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Evaluate and document site usage and user behavior to identify opportunities for improvement. Identify and resolve barriers or "pinch points" that make information difficult to locate, and monitor the site's search functionality to ensure employees can efficiently find relevant information.
- Use stakeholder feedback, site analytics, and user behavior to recommend and implement improvements to the intranet's content, structure, navigation, and search capabilities.
