Transports specimens, reports, x-rays, supplies and mail to physicians’ offices and other destinations.
a. Education: Must be able to read, write and understand conversational English.
b. Current Oregon or Washington driver’s license, be at least 21 years old with minimum of two years’ experience in the type of vehicle being driven. No more than one accident and two moving violations or two accidents and one moving violation or no accidents and three moving violations on or off the job within the past 36 months and no conviction for driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII), license suspension, auto felony conviction or other serious violations within the past 36 months.
c. Must have a minimum of two years driving experience.
d. Must provide own transportation
e. Phlebotomy and/or laboratory experience helpful.
f. Possesses customer service experience.
g. Uses effective communication skills.
h. Personal appearance makes a good first impression.
i. Flexible, able to work to meet the needs of the department.

b). Physically Demanding Tasks: Must be able to sit and walk for periods of time and be able to withstand extreme changes in temperature by constantly moving into and out of buildings. Must also be able to transport items usually varying from less than a pound to fifty or more pounds. Box size will vary which means some might be awkward to handle. Help is available for the heavier or awkward boxes. Approximately 25% of the time is spent pushing and pulling loaded carts, hand trucks or other devices. Constant getting in and out of car, twisting, going from sit to standing position and standing to sitting.
