Ensures the delivery of quality nursing care for a designated group of patients undergoing Endoscopy Center procedures in accordance with age-related and individual needs, physicians orders, hospital policy, standards of care and nursing practice. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, directing, supervising and evaluating direct and indirect care for patients in the Gastroenterology setting. Responsible for assessing the educational and age related needs of patients, planning nursing care to meet those needs, and ensuring that the plan of care is carried out and documented according to the principles defined in the nursing process.
a) License: Current licensure as registered nurse by the Oregon State Board of Nursing
b) Education: A copy of your highest academic diploma or transcript required upon hire.
c) Certification: American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS preferred upon hire, and required within 90 days of hire. If not American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certified upon hire, must have current BLS certification through another provider. ACLS required or within 90-days of hire.
d) Minimum of one-year experience in Day Surgery or Med/Surg required.
e) Previous experience in Gastroenterology preferred.
f) Must be willing to develop skills in the use and maintenance of all equipment used the Endoscopy Center.
g) Basic knowledge of computers helpful.
