Works under the direction of a board certified radiologist and is directly responsible for the optimal completion of all procedures utilizing a computed tomography (CT) scanner.
a) Education: A copy of your highest science-related academic diploma or transcript required upon hire.
b) License and Registration: Oregon State Board of Medical Imaging licensure in the practice of Radiography required. Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) required; additional CT registry required.
c) Certification: American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required upon hire.
d) Previous CT experience required.
e) Working knowledge of cross sectional anatomy.
f) Working knowledge of radiology information system.
g) Excellent customer service skills.
h) Demonstrated skills in caring for mental, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
i) Personal appearance makes a good first impression.
j) Uses effective communication skills.
1. Percentage of Time Spent:
5% Lifting / Carrying
2. Physically Demanding Tasks: Lifting/pulling patients weighing up to 650 pounds on and off the CT table. Transporting patients via stretcher or wheelchair and exposure to radiation.
