Sterile Processing Technician (Certified)- 60060

Provide sterile, disinfected or clean equipment, supplies and instruments for surgery and other departments of Tuality Healthcare. Follow recommendations for best practices.  

a.   Education: High school graduation or completion of GED preferred.

b.   Certification: Current sterile processing technician certification CRCST or CBSPD required within 9 months of hire.

d.   1 year hospital sterile processing experience preferred.

e.   Steam autoclave and hydrogen peroxide gas experience.

f.    Knowledge of the function, care and handling of instruments.

g.   Uses effective communication skills.

h.   Speaks, writes and understands English.

i.    Functions well as part of a team.

j.    Uses appropriate problem solving methods to deal with conflict.

k.   Follows directions accurately and completely.

l.    Prioritizes multiple tasks and requests in stressful situations.

m.  Knowledge of basic medical terminology.

n.   Excellent customer service.

o.   Bilingual skills a plus.
