  • Summary of Duties

    The Nurse Practitioner will provide medical services in the Primary care, OB/Gyn, or Specialty clinic setting for patients in accordance with individual needs and the standards of care as represented by the centers patient care policies.  Services will be reviewed and approved by the Medical Director through periodic chart review.

    Hiring Competencies

    a)   Education: A copy of your highest academic diploma or transcript required upon hire.
    b)   License:  Licensed to practice medicine as a Nurse Practitioner by the State of Oregon/Oregon State Board of Nursing.
    c)   Fulfills requirements of hospital medical staff credentialing process.
    d)   Maintains active staff membership in good standing with the medical staff of the hospital with all privileges and responsibilities accorded such membership.
    e)   Skilled at some minor trauma procedures.
    f)    Demonstrates proper appearance and personal conduct for the employee's particular job.
    g)   Uses effective communication skills taking into consideration body language, filters, listening, paraphrasing, and questions, with customers of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. 
    h)   Demonstrates excellent customer service.
    i)    Good written and verbal skills
    j)    Ability to work effectively under busy, stressful situations.
    k)   Bilingual skills a plus.
