Talent Acquisition Partner
Operates and maintains physical plant equipment on specified shift assignments. Performs special assignments on complex electrical and mechanical equipment. Assists in training of operating engineers on mechanical, electrical and building management systems in use throughout Tuality Healthcare properties. Under limited supervision, and on own initiative, evaluates and implements corrective measures to return malfunctioning equipment, and systems to specified standards. Submits required logs and reports.
a) Education: Minimum of Associate Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience. Desirable to have three years’ experience in operating engineer work in a hospital environment.
b) Current Oregon or Washington driver’s license, be at least 21 years old with minimum of two years’ experience in the type of vehicle being driven. No more than one accident and two moving violations or two accidents and one moving violation or no accidents and three moving violations on or off the job within the past 36 months and no conviction for driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII), license suspension, auto felony conviction or other serious violations within the past 36 months. This employee must complete a defensive driving course within the first 90 days of employment and yearly thereafter.
c) Current Oregon Limited Maintenance Electrical license, or higher level of Oregon Electrical license.
d) Demonstrable skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and plant systems analysis.
e) Undertakes continuing education, and on-the-job training programs in the operating engineer disciplines
f) Works any shift assignments as assigned, including evenings, nights and weekends.
g) Demonstrates proper appearance and personal conduct for the employee's particular job.
h) Uses effective communication skills taking into consideration body language, filters, listening, paraphrasing, questions with customers of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
i) Bilingual skills a plus.
