    The Tuality Medical Group (TMG) Practice Manager is a key practice leadership position developing outpatient clinical programs and ensuring quality care and continuity for patients and families. Has responsibility for guiding/overseeing day-to-day business and clinical operations, which includes all human resources functions, compliance and staff development of clinical and business staff and others.  The Practice Manager strives to achieve Tuality’s organizational priorities of highest quality of care, growth in patient population, excellence in access and patient experience and appropriate medical management. The Practice Manager works under the guidance of the Director of TMG; partners with Medical Director, and other outpatient practice managers and staff.  This position requires the ability to work as a collaborative member of the management team, including building a professional partnership within Tuality Medical Group and with partner group leadership teams. The Practice Manager leads in supporting diversity, creativity and an environment characterized by a strong ethic of trust, respect, and cooperation.

     

    GENERAL

    Works to integrate the plans for their assigned practice with the overall strategic plan for Tuality and TMG. Is aware of and integrates the code of conduct, and establishes a respectful work environment. Serves as a role model for performance and service excellence for clinical staff. Actively participates in, and promotes values of service excellence. Maintains and actively demonstrates a strong commitment to, and consistent modeling of positive workplace and code of conduct workplace behaviors.

     

    OPERATIONS

    Manages the day to day operations of their assigned practice. This includes developing business and clinical flows that facilitate patient satisfaction and maximize efficiency. Keeps current on all clinical and business systems and ensures that staff is current as well. Works closely with providers and TMG to maintain and improve quality of clinical operations to ensure high quality of care and maximize cost effectiveness. Anticipates operational and functional requirements to enable program development and expansion. Revamps/adjusts workflow in concert with system developments. Develops intra-departmental policies and procedures.  Participates in Operations, Organizational, and Community meetings when requested. Evaluates, analyzes, and recommends systems improvements across all business and clinical functions and processes.

    Assures premier customer service to patients, providers, the community and other clients. Serves as a role model for performance and service excellence for staff in all areas. Actively participates in, and promotes values and recommendations. Provides prompt and professional communication demonstrating positive issue and complaint resolution. Leads by example in ensuring customer satisfaction, facilitating ease of access, and a spirit of cooperation across the organization.

     

    Partners with leadership to assure continuous improvement of at quality and assigned sites.  Supports and works with physician leadership to ensure effective health care delivery.  Participates in recruitment and orientation of new physicians and advanced practitioners.

     

    REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE

    Plans, organizes, directs and controls implementation and continued observance of regulatory requirements within assigned clinics.

     

    LEADERSHIP

    Leads by example and acts as a role model while creating and sustaining an environment that promotes accountability, teamwork, learning and continuous improvement.  Provides leadership to support Tuality’s “patient first” vision and values. Supports and evaluates staff roles, taking into consideration skills, scope of practice, patient and practice needs, and core competencies. Seeks input and involvement of the Medical Director, Director TMG as appropriate.

    Hiring Competencies

    1. Education:  Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from accredited institution in Business or Healthcare Management highly preferred.
    2. License: No clinical license required, although RN or LPN a plus.
    3. Minimum of 2-3 years management experience in Healthcare setting; experience in Clinic Operations Management preferred.
    4. Demonstrates solid knowledge of EMR and/or other Information Systems functionality including access to and maintenance of the system controls.
    5. Demonstrates strong leadership and facilitation skills with ability to multitask and set priorities.
    6. Must instill and reinforce a strong customer service and business oriented work ethics within their assigned clinics.
    7. Has professional appearance and makes a positive first and ongoing impression.
    8. Demonstrates knowledge of managed care insurance plan requirements, Medical Home programs, medical terminology, , and ICD-10 coding methodology.
    9. Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.
    10. Demonstrates effective organization skills.
    11. Ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment and able to make sound independent decisions and works without direct supervision.
    12. Demonstrates personal computer skills including advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
    13. Bilingual skills a plus.
