  • Summary of Duties

    Works under the direction of the radiologists and the Breast Health Services Manager while proficiently performing a variety of mammographic procedures, including but not limited to special procedures and Dexa Scans.  Works on the Mobile Mammography Van as scheduled.

    Hiring Competencies

    a)     License:  Oregon State License as a radiologic technologist.  Mammography certification through ARRT.

    a)     License: May occasionally drive a Tuality owned vehicle as part of their job and is considered a Category A driver.  Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 21 years old.  Must have a minimum of two years’ experience in the type of vehicle being driven.  Must have a satisfactory driving record which is defined as no more than two accidents and one moving violation or two moving violations and one accident or three moving violations and no accidents on or off the job within the past 36 months, and no conviction for driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUI, suspended, auto felony convictions, or other serious violations) within the past 36 months.

    b)     Certification:  American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS preferred upon hire, and required within 90 days of hire.  If not American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certified upon hire, must have current BLS certification through another provider (revised May 24, 2010). 

    c)     Must be able to perform all general mammographic and special procedures and Dexa Scans.

    d)     Previous hospital or radiologic clinic preferred.

    e)     Excellent customer service skills.

    f)      Must have demonstrated skills in caring for the adult and geriatric patients.

    g)     Shows ability to develop skills in use of computerized information/ordering system.

    h)     Uses effective communication skills.

    i)      Bilingual skills a plus.
