    Tours campus grounds to ensure cleanliness of grounds and entrances, including windows, stairwells, parking structure, etc; completes special projects or requests as needed; checks for maintenance issues and repairs or reports as necessary; provides exceptional customer service to all individuals encountered in the Health & Education District.  Completes or assists with other duties as assigned.

    Hiring Competencies

    1.     Education: High school graduate or G.E.D.

    2.     Ability to demonstrate proficiencies in the use of all basic tools related to cleaning and/or general maintenance and gardening.

    3.     Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

    4.     Exhibits strong collaborative skills in daily interactions and decision making.

    5.     Demonstrates excellent customer service

    6.     Demonstrates effective communication skills – body language, filters, listening, paraphrasing and questions; ability to listen to customers (e.g. patients, students, staff, etc.) and to understand and respond positively to their requests

    7.     Demonstrates superior organization, prioritization, self-motivation, and problem resolution skills.

    8.     Ability to work without close supervision and to set one's own priorities.

    9.     Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.

    10.   Ability to stand and walk for lengthy periods of time.

    11.   Bilingual skills a plus.
