The Occupational Therapist functions as a member of the patient care team by providing occupational therapy services and is accountable for assessment, treatment, and education of patients with the appropriate documentation of such care. The occupational therapist is also responsible for supervising the patient care activities of their assistant, aide, students and to assist with other educational and research activities conducted by the department or hospital.
a. License: Current unencumbered occupational therapy license in the state of Oregon or;
b. License: Completion of an accredited Occupational therapy educational program and be eligible to obtain Oregon Occupational Therapy temporary licensure.
c. Certification: American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS preferred upon hire or required within first 90 days.
d. Knowledge of local, state, and federal rules regarding patient treatment and documentation
e. Demonstrates effective positive interpersonal skills, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as a team.
f. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
g. Presents a personal appearance that makes a good first impression.
h. Practices in accordance with professional licensing laws and professional practice act.
i. Bilingual skills a plus.
