  • Summary of Duties

    Supervises the process that insures that necessary supplies and equipment are available to clinical and non-clinical  areas when needed. Oversees and schedules Shipping and Receiving Clerk and CD Techs. Offers leadership support to team members and exemplifies the goals and objectives of THC. Has a working knowledge of the department’s responsibilities and helps perform department duties as needed.  Trouble shoots potential problems in area of responsibility to insure accuracy and efficiency of goods, services and workflow.

    Hiring Competencies

    a.   Education: High School Diploma required. Needs to read, write and speak conversational English.

    b.   License: None required

    c.   Experience in a hospital distribution center and medical terminology helpful.

    d.   Must have excellent leadership skills.

    e.   Must demonstrate judgmental and leadership ability to assist with the directing of department functions specifically relating to materials flow.

    f.    Enters and accesses data into a computer.

    g.   Deals with multiple demands in a fast paced environment in a calm and pleasant manner.

    h.   Handles heavy objects.

    i.    Must have the ability to serve as a liaison between Materials Management and other departments.

    j.    Presents a good first and lasting impression through personal appearance and interpersonal skills.

    k.   Demonstrates good customer service and telephone skills.

    l.    Approves staff requests for time off as assigned and edits and approves timecards for staff.

    m.  Bilingual skills a plus.
