  • Summary of Duties

    Work under the direction of the radiologists and the administrative director performing a variety of radiological procedures as well as functions relative to the scope of diagnostic imaging services.  May be assigned to a variety of hospital or clinic locations depending on the needs of the department.


    Hiring Competencies

    a)   License: Temporary or Permanent Oregon State Board of Medical Imaging Licensure in the practice of Radiography required.  Temporary licenses are understood to be used by students completing an approved course of training and will be converted to permanent status upon obtaining ARRT certification. 

    b)   Certifications: Registration with American Registry of Radiographic Technologists (ARRT) within 90 days of hire date or within 90 days of graduation from an approved imaging school.

    c)   Current Healthcare Provider BLS required within 90 days of hire.

    d)   Use effective communication skills with coworkers and customers of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

    e)   Demonstrates professional appearance and proper personal conduct for the employee's particular job.

    f)    Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.

    g)   Uses effective communication skills taking into consideration body language, filters, listening, paraphrasing, questions with customers of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

    h)   Bilingual skills a plus.
