The primary duties of the Rehabilitation Aide include a variety of clinical and clerical support functions for Rehabilitation Services departments and associated clinics. The Rehabilitation Aide may perform only specific and delegated treatment related tasks as directed by the supervising therapist as allowed by the state of Oregon Physical Therapist practice act. Rehabilitation Aides work under the general supervision of a Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapist and are responsible for the preparation of work areas for patients receiving physical, occupational or speech therapy.
Rehabilitation Aides also support clinic operations by answering telephones, filing and retrieving information, scheduling patients, assisting staff and guests as required, all while maintaining excellent customer service. Other duties include cleaning, organizing, ordering and stocking clinical areas.
