    The “Physical Therapist” is accountable for assessment, treatment and education of patients and the appropriate documentation of such care.  The therapist is also responsible for managing and supervising the activities of their Assistant, Aide and student.

    Hiring Competencies

    a)   License: Current Physical Therapy License in the State of Oregon.

    b)   Certification:  American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS preferred upon hire, and required within 90 days of hire. If not American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certified upon hire, must have current BLS certification through another provider. ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.

    c)   Knowledge of professional responsibilities and medical ethics.

    d)   Knowledge of local, state, and federal rules regarding patient treatment and documentation.

    e)   Excellent customer service skills.

    f)    Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills, communication skills and ability to work as a team player. 

    g)   Personal appearance makes a good first impression.

    h)   Practices in accordance with professional licensing, laws and professional practice act.

    i)    Bilingual skills a plus.
