The Nurse Practitioner will perform medical services to the Urgent Care clinic patients in accordance with individual needs and the standards of care as represented by the centers patient care policies. Services will be reviewed and approved by the Medical Director through periodic chart review.
a) Education: Masters of Science in Nursing and completion of a recognized Nurse Practitioner program.
b) License: Licensed to practice medicine as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the State of Oregon/Oregon State Board of Nursing.
c) Certification: Current ACLS certification
d) Fulfills requirements of hospital medical staff credentialing process.
e) Minimum of 1-3 years experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
g) Skilled at some minor trauma procedures.
h) Demonstrates proper appearance and personal conduct for the employee's particular job.
i) Uses effective communication skills taking into consideration body language, filters, listening, paraphrasing, and questions, with customers of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
j) Demonstrates excellent customer service.
k) Good written and verbal skills
l) Ability to work effectively under busy, stressful situations.
m) Bilingual skills a plus.
