Pay Range: $41.63/hr - $60.78/hr
3/12 hours shifts, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 08:00 to 20:30 hours, 72 hours per pay period
Works under the direction of a board-certified radiologist and is directly responsible for the optimal completion of all procedures utilizing the magnetic resonance imaging scanner. May be assigned to a variety of hospital or clinic locations depending on the needs of the department. |
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES |
Performed majority of the time: |
· Actively maintains a safe environment for all within each of the MRI Safety Zones. · Obtains and maintains proficiency in IV starts for contrast administration. · Begins and ends exams and documents appropriately in EMR. · Assists in providing care for moderate and deep sedation patients. · Mandatory participation in standby rotation as required or assigned by lead technologist. · Provides care appropriate to the age of patients served pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients based on principles of growth and development and life stages. · Maintains a log of all patients, procedures, complications, and system problems. · Describes and applies the physics behind the MRI system. · Performs quality control functions in MRI in accordance with department quality control process. · Assists physicians as necessary. · Assists in patient scheduling. · Transports patients as necessary. |

· Participates in scheduled staff/department meetings. · Mentors Medical Imaging students during rotations and clinicals. |

Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: | Required | · Registry with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists or other approved credentialing organization, such as ARMRIT, within 6 months of hire. · Current OBMI MRI License or OBMI Temporary Post-Primary MRI License. · Current Healthcare Provider BLS required upon hire. o American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS preferred upon hire or required within 90 days of hire. |
