Pay range: $34.71/hr - $49.96/hr plus 10% per diem differential

The Perinatal Educator meets educational needs of expectant and new parents related to conception, pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, infant feeding and infant care. |
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES |
Performed majority of the time: |
· Develops, implements, revises, and maintains current curriculum for designated classes. · Creates, maintains and updates resource list as applicable for designated classes. · Shares information about OHSU Hillsboro Medical Center, health education information, services, and procedures with class participants as relevant. · Neatly stores class supplies and materials in the instructor closet. All items are clearly labeled. · Assesses customers’ educational needs with ongoing evaluations and adjusts accordingly. · Maintains and submits attendance documentation and class evaluation tools per department policy. · Assists customers in use of the library and internet to gather additional information. |
Performed occasionally but critical to successful performance of the job: |
· Attends and actively participates in 75% of instructor staff meetings. · Reads professional journals, attends seminars/classes/professional organization meetings to stay current and expand knowledge base. |
